Ash, a secretive “fixer” who acts as an anonymous intermediary between corporate whistleblowers and the powerful companies they’re threatening to expose. Ash’s unique method of operation is what gives the film its title: he communicates exclusively through a telecommunications relay service, a system designed for the deaf and hard of hearing, which allows him to type his messages to an operator who then verbally relays them to the other party.
